Historically Curtis has been involved with GNU/Linux for over two decades:

• In the late 1990's dabbled with Mandrake Linux
• In 2001 set up a dual boot computer with Red Hat 7
• In 2006 switched to Kubuntu 6.06 as main desktop operating system
• Actively works with many other distributions, such as Debian, Fedora, openSUSE, and Ubuntu.
• Every few years migrates to successive Long Term Support releases of Kubuntu
• Currently uses Kubuntu 24.04 LTS

Curtis endeavours to give back to the Free Software community whenever he can.
